Project based on the renovation of the current market and its existing buildings with the objective of portraying and bringing back the roots of the word “Cuahnáhuac” which means “Surrounded by Trees”; with this Project, the desire is to create an exterior and interior space in which the users would feel they are in the woods, as part of the design, the roof has been molded to have an organic shape using natural and clean materials.
The remodeling of the market Lomas de las Selva was proposed as a Thesis project considering the impulse it would create in the motivation and improvement of the little to mid size commerce sellers, having in mind the diverse advantages for the tenants.
This upgrade would create a better aspect for the market, it would bring back the joy of people going to their local producers by immersing themselves in a cleaner and more organized space.
